Welcome

Pollokshields Churches Together was formed in the early 1960s and seeks to encourage, sustain and strengthen the common mission and witness of its member churches to the people of Pollokshields in Glasgow, Scotland.

The member churches are:

  • Pollokshields Church of Scotland
  • Pollokshields United Reformed Church
  • St Albert's Roman Catholic Church
  • St Ninian's Scottish Episcopal Church
  • Sherbrooke St Gilbert's Church of Scotland

Joint services are held at special times of the year, such as the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Holy Week and Easter Day, Christian Aid Week and St Andrew's Tide.

The Christian Aid Week house-to-house collection is carried out jointly by members of all the churches.

An annual Holiday Club for children is organised during one week of the schools' summer holidays.

PCT is a member of the East Pollokshields Planning Group, which is endeavouring to identify the needs of East Pollokshields and formulate proposals to meet them.

The current office bearers are:

  • Secretary: Margaret Arrol
  • Treasurer: John Park
